I'm my name's Matt and I'm new to the forums. I recently purchased the VMS2 midi controller and am having problems with the audio routing. I believe that the problem is with the internal sound routing, but the store is convinced that my traktor settings are causing the problem. I have set the 'Audio Device' under the 'Audio Setup' device so that the sound will output from my controller.

Sound is able to be output to my speakers, so the problem comes with the 'Output routing' settings. I have tried using internal and external mixing modes, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. For the following example I have the mixing mode set to external. If I have two tracks loaded (one in track A and one in track B), the crossfader seems to act more like a master volume. If the fader is all the way to the left I have no sound.

As you move the fader right both tracks play, including if the fader is all the way to the right. There is also a problem with the vertical volume faders. The left vertical volume fader seems to control the volume for both tracks. I thought this was a problem with how the controller was mapped (I downloaded the. The problem that I was having is that I was misinterpreting exactly what the 'front' and 'side' outputs were. I traded in the VMS2 for the Traktor S2 so I'm going by memory here.
